A newsletter focusing on spirituality, wellness and healthy food.
Welcome to the first issue of Whole Health with Diane Hatz. The goal is to publish one newsletter a month, bringing you original articles from Diane and guest writers, as well as resources and information that can help you on your journey to whole health. Oh, and a podcast is in the works! Stay tuned for more.
What is Healthy Food? (part 1)
Because healthy food is a core focus of the Whole Health newsletter, I feel it’s essential to break down what it is and why it’s important. It’s more confusing than you might think, so this is Whole Health’s (meaning, my…) explanation.
A generally agreed-upon definition of healthy food is that it provides the necessary nutrients to sustain one’s well-being and provide optimal energy.
Healthy food is also whole food. It’s unprocessed, which means it doesn’t come from a box or the frozen food, packaged dinner aisle. In my opinion, there are some exceptions, which I’ll get to in a future post, but, for now, healthy food is a whole food.
Whole food means you eat the entire food as is, not stripped of its parts.

In case you missed my last article, check out “Perception”...
I had a moment last week - you know, one of those where you start questioning everything in your life, your head starts spinning, and you start forgetting which way is up. Rather than barreling through like I used to do, I booked an Airbnb and am in Sedona right now recharging.
Old me would have been mad at myself, pushed down how I was feeling and would have worked even harder. But I learned a few years ago that forcing myself doesn't work. It only leads to some type of breakdown or burnout, so I implemented some well-needed self-care and came to my happy place here in the red rocks.

I’m a big fan of Esther Hicks, the medium who channels a group of spirits/celestial beings that call themselves Abraham. She’s one of the top teachers today on the Law of Attraction (LOA). If you’re not familiar with LOA, it’s very simple while also being complicated. Or, perhaps I should say, it’s very simple but we tend to make it very complicated.
Law of Attraction simply means that any of us can manifest anything we want by thinking about it.
I’ll be spending a lot of time sharing what I’m learning about LOA because I sincerely believe it’s a fundamental truth of our reality, and that quantum physics is helping prove its validity. What makes it complicated is that we get in our own way.
Above is a short, two-minute video of Abraham to introduce you to the topic.
Thanks so much for being part of the Whole Health community! I’ll be publishing the Whole Health Journal once a month - the goal is on or very near the 15th. Please be patient for the first few months as I get comfortable with the process.
The focus of the Whole Health Journal is wellness, spirituality, and healthy food. Each issue will highlight one or more of these topics.
The Journal will expand in time to include interviews, guest posts, book and podcast recommendations, and more. Feel free to leave a comment or drop me a line with thoughts or ideas about what you’d like to see in the newsletter.
In gratitude,
Diane
