Hey Diane. I like the tone of this post better than all your other ones. It's honest and open and vulnerable, at the same time as it "has a plan" and also realizes that it's the moment that counts. Don't chase too many things. I also like the idea of having one thing, and then building of that. For me it's my podcast. And there is info on the web about how to get yourself out there without FB and Twitter and the rest. If I were forced back on one social medium (I am currently on none), it would be Instagram, in spite of the dickweed who owns it. Post one photo and talk about something. You could also replicate that on Substack. The other strategy I will be trying is just simple advertising. If you haven't already, and don't mind the advice, check out the mini (and super open and friendly) empire by Jane Friedman, who knows publishing inside out. She also does courses and may even have a course on doing courses! W

Great post. Glad you had some positivity come your way. We’re all in this together, and it doesn’t hurt to reach out. I’ve made some incredible friends and connections the last 2 years because of this mentality. Keep up the great work, Diane!
